Gemma is the author of Queer Art: From Canvas to Club, and the Spaces Between, which was published by Quarto in May 2024. Her next book is forthcoming with Thames & Hudson is 2026.
Gemma launched Artsy’s new editorial series 5 Artists On Our Radar during her tenure as Curatorial Director, spotlighting up-and-coming talent from around the globe. She was formerly a columnist for Gay Times, where she wrote the popular column Art Hole, covering a wide array of LGBTQIA+ art news.
